Hirschfeld’s Transportation division provides captive transportation services, representing a significant benefit. Due to the difficulties inherent in transporting large steel structures, third-party transportation providers struggle to deliver fabricated components without damage or delay. Because of the size and weight of Hirschfeld’s fabricated steel products, the transportation division has substantial expertise in hauling heavy, oversized loads.

Transportation equipment includes 61 tractors and 110 trailers and other specialized bridge girder equipment to transport its products nationwide. Traveling over 5 million miles a year, this division can haul loads from small, miscellaneous items up to 160-foot, 150,000-pound girders.
